Prenatal flow: This all levels class offers an opportunity for expecting moms to connect to baby through a fluid series of postures designed to open, strengthen and support them through all three trimesters of pregnancy. Based in vinyasa yoga, each class will incorporate breath with movement through seated and standing postures that prepare the body for the birthing journey. You will learn relaxation techniques and pranayama (breathing exercises) that promote a healthy pregnancy. This class will be a great way to connect with other expecting moms! (Birth partners welcome).
Postnatal flow with Baby: This is an hour long energizing postnatal yoga flow where baby is welcome to join you on your mat! We encourage mamas to have clearance from the OB or Midwife to return back to physical activity, which is typically around six weeks postpartum. This is a fun class to bond with baby while honoring yourself and all the hard work you’re doing. We encourage mom groups to come and enjoy this social setting for a yoga practice together. (When baby becomes too mobile for mama to enjoy a solid practice, it might be time to graduate to the Moms & Movers class or Yoga for Moms!)
Moms & Movers: We welcome the babies that have graduated from our Mom & Baby class and are officially on the move! We will sing songs and learn yoga poses in a fun environment. Perfect for mobile babies up to four years old. Please, no snacks or toys inside the classroom.
Yoga for Moms: This class is for the mom who needs to get a practice in, but also has to watch the kiddos. Enjoy an hour long Vinyasa flow (as best as you can with the littles there!) Babies six weeks up to around four or five years old are welcome to join you in your practice. We ask that snacks and drinks be kept outside and to respect others in class by keeping a close watch on your little human(s). Space is limited, so registering in advance is recommended.
Specialty Yoga Class Descriptions:
Toddler Yoga Series: This is a six week series offered to families with little ones that are on the run. Each week we will focus on a new theme and incorporate yoga poses, songs, breath and lots of smiles! This is an extremely relaxed environment where we get to introduce yoga to the next generation in a super fun way.Space is limited, must register in advance.
Date Night Yoga: This workshop focuses on engaging each other in a supportive physical practice and, if you’re expecting, creating a space to prepare for childbirth. Treat yourselves to partner poses, massage and breathing techniques which help relieve some of the discomforts in the body. It’s all woven together in this class to create a truly unique “date” experience. Couples will be able to unwind as they support one another in standing and seated yoga poses. Together, couples will step out of the busyness of life and into a playful and relaxing environment. No yoga experience is necessary. The workshop is suitable for all levels. Space is limited, must register in advance.
Childcare: This is a special option offered in conjunction with certain Yoga workshops, such as Date Night Yoga. Check the schedule for availability. If available, early registration is required as space is limited.
