Class Descriptions

Prenatal flow: This all levels class offers an opportunity for expecting moms to connect to baby through a fluid series of postures designed to open, strengthen and support them through all three trimesters of pregnancy. Based in vinyasa yoga, each class will incorporate breath with movement through seated and standing postures that prepare the body for the birthing journey. You will learn relaxation techniques and pranayama (breathing exercises) that promote a healthy pregnancy. This class will be a great way to connect with other expecting moms! (Birth partners welcome).

Mama and Baby: This all levels practice gives mom (or partner/caregiver) and baby a chance to move together! Class will begin with stretches and movements for baby and then graduates into a well rounded flow for mom. Babies are incorporated into some poses designed to both build strength and develop a deeper connection to mom. They are welcome to nurse, nap or play through the class. It’s also a great way to meet and connect with other new moms and babies! (Pre-crawlers only. Please bring a blanket for baby to rest on).

Hatha: This all levels class is great for those looking for a slow, relaxing, meditative practice, as well as anyone who is just starting out on their yoga journey.  This class is perfect for calming the mind through breath and experiencing a variety of poses.  Everyone is welcome.

Meditation: This is a quick dip in eternal bliss.  Ahh!  Doesn’t that just sound lovely?  This particular meditation style is referred to as Divine Light Meditation and focuses on bringing qualities into our consciousness that we can put into action in the world.  This type of meditation has helped many women, pre- and postnatal, find calm, clarity, energy, strength, balance and harmony throughout their pregnancy, labor, birth, 4th trimester and beyond.
